undissassembled - it can't get much better than this

Once again recorded in Jack’s basement, the main difference between these sessions is that this one was fully multi-tracked in GarageBand with a new interface. It was not the greatest production I had done, but the first where I was able to multi-track record my entire drum kit, which takes the most microphones.

This recording took longer than the last, taking about a week to record. It was released on March 10th, right when we embarked on our first tour, also being our first out-of-state shows. While in reality it was playing neighboring cities and states, and pretty much an all-around failure of a trip, it was a learning experience, and I definitely remember being rushed to meet the deadline of the tour starting to have the album finished.

This art is a piece featured by Tyler’s friend, Alec Feyerabend. Alec painted a small canvas for the album art based on screenshots Jack mocked up in GMOD. A picture of the unedited canvas is featured below, along with the Midwest Mess Tour flyer and pictures from the recording session.

Once again, another music video was shot, this time for the song “Mike’s Way.” Thanks once again to Lincoln and Jersey Mike for letting us film this silly video.
